Monday,
The class worked together on an on-line vocabulary practice to review for our vocabulary quiz tomorrow.
We had a discussion about courage, prejudice, and the 1930's in preparation for reading To Kill a Mockingbird, our next class novel.
We listened to Dr. King's "I Have a Dream" speech since he is a perfect example of courage and standing up for what's right.
As we listened we noted his use of repetition, charged words, and figurative language. We began our discussion on these words, and will continue to dicuss the speech in class tomorrow.
